The Falcon Marching Band, known also as the FMB, is the marching band of Bowling Green State University. It features a symphonic sound and chair step marching that rivals bands of larger conferences. Under the direction of Dr. Michael King, the 250 member marching band is the largest student organization on campus. The band performs at all home football games, which are hosted in Doyt Perry Stadium as well as other various university functions. The Falcon Marching Band only exists during the football season. The FMB serves as a showcase of the finest in musical and visual performance, as well as a centerpiece for athletic spirit at BGSU, and is composed of students from all colleges of the University. Membership is open by audition to students of all class levels and all majors.〔(University Bands, Bowling Green State University )〕 == History== The first band to represent what would become Bowling Green State University was formed during the 1923-1924 academic year.
